Rose (Nobili) Marini,
a lifelong Quincy resident, passed away Monday, January 29th at the Bay Path Nursing Home in Duxbury. She was 99 years old. Born in Quincy on September 3, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Virzari) Nobili.
Mrs. Marini was a former employee of Grass Instrument of Quincy for many years. She was also a dedicated volunteer at the Shriners Burn Institute in Boston for over 30 years. Her ability to speak Italian and Spanish helped her interact with and comfort the young international burn victims at the Institute.
She enjoyed traveling, with trips to Alaska, Italy and Hawaii among her favorites.
Wife of the late Joseph P. Marini Sr., she is survived by her two sons, Daniel and his wife Patricia and Joseph Jr. and his wife Mary, all of Plymouth; she was also grandmother of Danielle, Michelle, Joseph III and Nicholas Marini.
Visiting hours will be held at the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street, Quincy on Thursday, February 1st from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Her funeral services and burial will be private.
