Armando P. Costa,
of Quincy, died Sunday, October 8, 2017 at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. He was 89. Born in Quincy on January 31, 1928, he was the son of the late Liberato and Rosa (Marchesio) Costa and the devoted husband of the late Rita (McDonald) Costa.
Mr. Costa worked as a Quincy Fire Fighter for many years, stationed at headquarters for the majority of his time. A WW II veteran in the Army, he was a member of the Morrisette Post in Quincy and South Quincy Bocce Club. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survived by the love of his life, Barbara King, he is the father of James Costa and his wife Donna, Stephen Costa and his wife Victoria and the late Linda Perrotta and her husband Richard. He is also survived by four grandchildren, two great grandchildren and his sister-in-law Ernestine Costa.
Funeral from the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home on Friday, October 13th at 10 am. Followed by a graveside service in Mount Wollaston Cemetery at 11 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, October 12th from 4 to 8 pm.
