Marc E. Moran,
On the 21st of January of 2017 we lost a most kind, compassionate, thoughtful, unassuming, husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Marc brought people together, he was loyal to family and friends, always the prankster, never too serious, and he took the time for anyone and everyone. We remember Marc as a selfless person who always thought of others before himself.
Marc had a passion for buying and restoring vintage cars, vans and motorcycles. He had so much pride for his work that he and his 1954 Oldsmobile debuted in the movie called “The Finest Hour”!! He was the MacGyver of the Moran’s, always using his creative side to invent something or trying to put the impossible back together.
Lena, the love of his life, 2 peas in a pod as many would say enjoyed so many things together especially their trips to NH. Most recently they enjoyed the beautiful sunsets on their own private beach, Bungay Lake. They both adored their new addition to the family, Manny, a full of life, Mini Australian Shepherd.
Marc was born on December 22, 1966 and left us unexpectedly now joining his mother, Margaret “Peggy” Moran in heaven on January 21, 2017 at the very young age of 50 years old.
Marc will live on through his wife Lena, his father Michael Moran and his wife Annie, his brother Michael Moran and his wife Carolyn. From Ireland his Father-in-law Patrick Smith and his wife Kathleen, Sister-in-law Susan Smith, and Brother-in-laws Peter and Phillip Smith as well as several nieces and nephews. He will be missed by countless extended family and friends both here and abroad.
Marc’s funeral will be held at St. Mary’s Church 330 Pratt Street (Rt. 106) Mansfield on Thursday, January 26th at 10 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours will be held at the Bolea-Amici Funeral Home 115 N. Main Street Mansfield on Wednesday, January 25th from 5 to 8 pm. Burial will be private at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations in Marc’s name may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, P.O. Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202; www.LLS.org or to learn2cope.org
