Pearl May (Parody) Volpe,
89, of Quincy, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 11, 2016. She was the wife of Samuel P. Volpe for 63 years. Born on July 20, 1927 in Quincy, Massachusetts, she was the loving daughter of the late Carl and Marion (Hall) Parody.
Pearl was a loving person who enjoyed caring for everyone around her. She attended Quincy High School but left during her junior year to be at home with her mother who was bedridden from heart disease.
Pearl is survived by her husband, Samuel P. Volpe of Quincy, her daughter Donna Driscoll and her husband John Driscoll of Milton, and her son Paul Volpe of New York City. She was the cherished Gramma of Mark Driscoll of Winchester and Jacqueline DeFreitas and her husband, Robert DeFreitas of Milton. Pearl is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews of the Volpe family.
The Volpe and Driscoll family would like to give a special thank you to the wonderful staff at the Hancock Park nursing facility for lovingly caring for Pearl during her time there.
A funeral service for Pearl will be held at the Bolea–Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street, Quincy on Tuesday, November 15th at 11:00am. Visitation will be held prior to her funeral service from 10 to 11 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial to follow at Blue Hills Cemetery, Braintree.
