Eva (Angelo) DiBona,
of Braintree, formerly of Quincy, died peacefully at the home of her son in Pembroke on August 6, 2016. She was 91. Wife of fifty-seven years to the late Alfiero DiBona.
Born in Dedham she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Teresa (Vaccaro) Angelo. Eva was raised in Dedham and attended Dedham schools. For many years she was employed at Sears Department Store both in Quincy and Braintree as a saleswoman in the men’s department.
She was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing golf and poker, loved to cook, bake and knit blankets for donations. Eva was known as the one who drove the bus and her family would gratefully like to express their sincere thanks to all family and friends who gave their time and help in Eva’s last few months.
Her survivors include a son, Dennis DiBona and his wife Marcia of Pembroke; two daughters, Patricia DiBona of Atlanta, GA and Marie Neely and her husband Dudley of Carver; two sisters, Florence Pelaggi of Wareham and Palma Coccia of Mansfield; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by four siblings.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated at St. John’s Church, School Street, Quincy on Thursday, August 11th at 10 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial at Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Calling Hours will be held at the Bolea – Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street, Quincy on Wednesday, August 10th from 4 to 8 pm.
