John Vincent DePolo, Jr. (Vinnie),
age 72, of Dover, NH passed away Friday, July 22nd surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Born in Dorchester, MA, in 1944, "Vinnie" was a devoted father, a loving and silly grandfather, a great friend and confidant. He was a hardworking man who worked as an auto body painter for many years, with the highest record of cars painted in one week in his company’s history (82).
Vinnie enjoyed the simple things in life; time with his family, especially his grandsons, a day at the beach, preparing and eating great food with family and friends, all while laughing and listening to music. He believed all that truly mattered in life was having the people you love beside you. This was what he treasured most.
Vinnie was the proud father of son John V. DePolo, III and his wife MaryAnn, daughter Dawn Marie DePolo-Gainey and her husband John, daughter Sheila Leacu and her husband Tom, son Jeffrey DePolo and his wife Shayla, daughter Kara DePolo as well as many foster children.
He is survived by his five children, and his three grandsons, Quinn, John Quincy and Luca. He is the cherished brother of Irma DiBona, Cheryl McDonough and Donald DePolo. Many adoring nieces and nephews also survived him.
Visiting hours will be held at Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home located at 116 Franklin Street, Quincy, MA on Wednesday, July 27th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
