Roy F. Myatt, Jr.,
of Rockland, formerly of Quincy, died on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the VA Medical Center of West Roxbury. He was 53 years old. Born in Boston on June 21, 1963, he was the son of Roy C. and Kathleen (Doonan) Myatt of Rockland.
Roy graduated from Quincy High School and then joined the Army. For twenty years he was employed with the teamster Local 82 and Local 25. Roy was a member of the Knights of Columbus of Rockland. He also enjoyed golfing, football and time spent with his son and family.
Besides his parents, he is survived by a son, Ryan Myatt of Pembroke; two brothers, Shawn and Michael Myatt both of Rockland; a sister, Kathleen A. Reilly of Quincy; three nieces, Katrina, Kayla and Kate Reilly; a nephew, Bryan Reilly; and his former wife, Jodi L. (Brown) Myatt of Pembroke. He was also brother of the late Brian Myatt.
Funeral mass at St. Mary’s Church, 95 Crescent Street, Quincy on Wednesday July 13th at 10 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be private at a later date. Calling hours will be held at the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street, Quincy on Tuesday, July 12th from 5 to 8 pm.
The family has asked that a donation in Roy's memory be made to a charity of one’s choice.
