Roger Jean-Louis Coulombe,
of North Easton, died on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at the Brockton VA Medical Center. He was 87 years old. Roger was the husband of 56 years to Patricia (Fitzpatrick) Coulombe. Born in New Bedford on October 17, 1928, he was the son of the late Origene and Leona Marie (Ethier) Coulombe.
He bravely served his country in the Army during the Korean War. Roger received his Bachelors degree from Boston College, and then completed his Masters at the former Boston State College. He began his career in the technology industry, and later dedicated himself to the field of education working for the Massachusetts Department of Education.
Besides his wife, his survivors include two daughters, Leona Coulombe and Anne Calder; a son, Paul Coulombe; five grandchildren, Jacqueline Brewer, Meghan Brown, Matthew Chadbourne, Steven Brown and Thomas Conklin; five siblings, Annette and Theresa Phenix, Maurice, Donald and Laurier “Butch” Coulombe. Roger is also survived by many nieces, nephews and in-laws. In addition, he was the father of the late Aimee Chadbourne and brother of the late Yvette Fenton, Marie-Ange Ledoux, Lucille LaFrance, Rita Dupont, Richard, Lionel, Jean-Marie, Roland, Gerard, Lucien, Wilfred and Romeo Coulombe.
The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Rte. 106), Mansfield on Saturday, April 16th at 11 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. The burial is at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation prior to the Mass will take place at the Bolea-Amici Funeral Home at 115 North Main Street, Mansfield from 9 to 10:30 am.
