Norma (DiTullio) Gacicia,
of Hingham, died Tuesday, March 1st at home. She was 89 year old and the beloved wife of the late Peter P. Gacicia for 67 years.
Born in Quincy on February 25, 1927, she was the loving daughter of the late Erminto & Sue (DiSalvo) DiTullio. Mrs. Gacicia was a graduate of Quincy High School and worked as a Realtor for Lauria Real Estate in Braintree for over 30 years. As a young woman she was very active in Quincy PTO’s.
She was a former member of St. John’s Women’s Club & bowling league, former Board Member of Quincy City Hospital, politically active within the city and along with her husband Peter was involved in running many Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Telethons. She enjoyed knitting and cherished time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Gacicia was the loving mother of Susan Wilbur & her husband Calvin, Peter Gacicia & his wife Penny and Alan Gacicia & his wife Terese. She was the cherished grandmother of Meaghan, Bryan, Brendan, Sam, Ben, Lily, Nicholas Jon & Victoria and the dear sister of Jeannette Matarazzo and the late Eleanor Giacomozzi.
Funeral from the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street, Quincy on Saturday March 5 at 9am. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. John’s Church, 44 School Street, Quincy at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4-8pm. Interment in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery.
