Virginia (Alessandri) Day,
lifelong resident of Mansfield, died on Thursday February 25, 2016 at Life Care Center of Attleboro. She was 100. She was the devoted wife of the late Anthony “Tony” Day. Born on January 29, 1916. She was the daughter of the late Domenic and Maria (Ginesi) Alessandri.
Virginia was a devoted homemaker, wife and mother. She was well known by her family and friends for her Italian cooking and baking.
Her survivors include two sons, Anthony Day and his wife Sandra of Rehoboth and William Day of Mansfield; a sister, Elia Young and her husband Merle; six grandchildren, Christopher Day and his wife Egidia, Lauren Desrosiers, Kevin Day, Elizabeth Masse and her husband Michael, Anthony Day and his wife Rebekah and Maria Botsch and her husband Frederick. Also survived by eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday February 29th at 10 a.m. in the Bolea-Amici Funeral Home, 115 N. Main Street, Mansfield. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Mansfield. Calling hours will be on Sunday February 28th from 2 to 5 p.m.
