Lillian J. Bolea,
of Quincy, peacefully passed away from Alzheimer’s disease on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at the age of 90, with family by her side. She was the wife of the late Luigi A. Bolea.
Educated in Quincy, Lillian was the daughter of the late Erasmo and Concetta Capobianco.
Upon graduating from Quincy High School in 1942, she worked for Burgin Platner Insurance and married in 1953. Within six years she had four children and took pride in her role as a mother and homemaker. She was an amazing cook and had a talent with crocheting, knitting and sewing. She also loved to travel and visited several countries in Europe, islands in the Caribbean and Alaska. Her favorite place was Horseneck Beach in Westport MA.
Lillian spent many election days working at the polls in Quincy. She was a member of Saint Mary’s Senior’s group in West Quincy and enjoyed weekly events at the Council on Aging in Quincy.
She is survived by her children, Patrice Dupuis and her husband, Russell, of East Bridgewater, Paula Kearney and her husband, Colin, of Scituate, Janet Bernardone and her husband, Jeffrey, of Mansfield and Michael Bolea and his companion, Maureen Sacco, of Mansfield. Lillian also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren, Colin, Jessica, Liane, Jeffrey, Marissa, Danielle, Michael, Brian and Stephen, and great grandchildren, Caroline, Grace and newborn Harris.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 5th at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 95 Crescent Street, West Quincy. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be at the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street, Quincy on Friday, December 4th from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial at Mt. Wollaston Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lillian's memory may be made to St. Mary's Church Bell Tower Restoration Fund, 757 Hancock Street, Quincy, MA 02170.
