wife of the late Fred Kolgraf, died suddenly on Monday, November 2nd, at her home in the Village at Willow Crossing, Mansfield.
Born in Germany, Inge came to the United States with her husband and two young children. She raised her family in New York City and then Kings Park, NY, where she eventually retired with her husband. Together, they loved to explore the area’s seaside villages and historical sites.
Inge and Fred planned a move to Mansfield in 2001 to be closer to family. Sadly, Fred died before they could move into their new home. Inge made a life for herself among new friends in Massachusetts. She also took up watercolors late in life and became an accomplished painter. Her other hobbies included gardening, listening to all kinds of music (classical, opera, country and even hip hop), reading and staying in touch on her iPad.
Family was the center of Inge’s life. She especially loved family vacations in Florida, Vermont and Cape Cod. She is survived by her son Ron Kolgraf and his wife Lisa of North Easton, MA; her daughter Claudia Manley and her husband Doug of Old Tappan, NJ; her grandchildren Jacqueline and Nicolette Kolgraf and Kristin and Daniel Manley; and her sister Leni Hermann of Germany.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 6th.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice or the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research at www.michaeljfox.org.
