Jason B. Savage,
of Quincy, died unexpectedly on Monday, September 14th. He was 23. Mr. Savage was the loving son of Edward A. and Milly M. Savage of Quincy.
Mr. Savage most recently worked as a custodian at BJs Wholesale Club in Quincy. He graduated from Quincy High School in 2010 and was also a graduate of the Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology, where he received an Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and also was a recipient of the Louis J. Dunham, Jr. Memorial Award for outstanding leadership and dedication to the college community. Mr. Savage was President of the Student Government Association and Commencement Speaker for his graduating class of 2012.
He was currently pursuing his Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering at UMASS Lowell. Mr. Savage was a DARE Camp Counselor and was proud to be involved with the Robotics Team 69 at Quincy High School and also mentoring students in robotics at the Lincoln-Hancock and Sterling Middle Schools. He was also a proficient Balloon Artist and a member of the South Shore Joey's Alley 159.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Savage is survived by his brother Jonathan Savage. He was the grandson of Josephine Fantucchio and the late John Fantucchio and Martha D. Savage. Mr. Savage was the nephew of Mary Robledo, Joan Walsh and Janice Savage Cartwright and the cousin of Angel Robledo and Francesca Walsh.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, Sept. 19 from 2-6pm in the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin St., Quincy. Followed by a Celebration of his life at the Sons of Italy Hall, 120 Quarry St., Quincy at 7pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be private.
