Joseph V. DiBona,
a lifelong resident of Quincy died Monday August 24 at home. He was 93 years old and the beloved husband of the late Mela L. (Tocci) DiBona.
Born in Northfield, VT. on January 13, 1922, he was the loving son of the late Loreto & Judy (Bronzi) DiBona. Mr. DiBona was a graduate of the Quincy Trade School and served in the United States Army during WWII. He was a member of the 320th Infantry Regiment, fought in the Battle of the Bulge and was a Purple Heart Recipient. He was the President & Co-owner of DiBona Corp. Mechanical Contractors in Quincy & enjoyed spending time with other Plumbers at Republic Plumbing Supply.
Mr. DiBona was the loving father of Paul L. DiBona.
A Graveside Service will be held in Blue Hill Cemetery on Friday August 28 at 11:30am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street in Quincy prior to the service from 9-llam. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. DiBona’s memory to Fisher House Boston, P.O. Box 230, S. Walpole, MA 02071.
