Lydia Gentilucci, of Quincy, died Friday, May 22 at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. She was 96 years old.

Born in Boston on September 4, 1918, she was the beloved daughter of the late Gerardo & Filomena (Quintiliani) Gentilucci. She was a graduate of Quincy High School and the Bryant & Stratton Secretarial School. She worked at the Fore River Shipyard, formerly of Quincy and then worked as an Accountant for M. B. Lawrence Pontiac formerly of E. Milton. She enjoyed traveling, time spent with family & prided herself on living very independently.

Ms. Gentilucci was the loving sister of the late Ophelia “Val” Lombardi, dear aunt of Eileen Lisook & her husband Ira of Milton, Paul Lombardi & his wife Rachel of Brockton, Geraldine Lombardi of Quincy, the late John Lombardi & his wife Kim of Wareham, great-aunt of Mai Lombardi of Wareham, Mark Stasium & his wife Susan of Portland, ME, Paul Lombardi of Abington, Mathew Lombardi of Brockton, the late Jeffrey Stasium and great great-aunt of Nicholas, Benjamin, Alex and the late Maddie.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John’s Church, 44 School Street, Quincy on Thursday May 28 at 11am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street, Quincy prior to Mass from 9-10:30am. Interment in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery.
