Margery A. (Perrow) Papile

Margery A. (Perrow) Papile, of Quincy, passed away on Sunday, April 19th at Milton Hospital surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren. She was 83 years old and the beloved wife of James P. Papile for 64 years.

Born in Weymouth on April 27, 1931, she was the loving daughter of the late Alan & Arletta (Nickerson) Perrow along with 9 other siblings.

She was educated in Weymouth schools & was very athletic in her younger years. She was an avid bowler where she won many individual awards. She enjoyed all sports and especially following the Boston sports teams with her husband. “Margy” excelled at playing scrabble so much so that it was difficult to find a worthy opponent to match her expertise. She had a profound sense of humor and keen ability to befriend people from all walks of life.

She had a unique & strong interest in music including opera, country western and pop music of her generation. She could quote names of great opera stars of the past along with their most famous & not so famous Arias.

Margery’s biggest passion was her affection for her family, her love for her children and an unmeasurable appreciation, interest and deep affection for her grandchildren.

Mrs. Papile was the loving mother of Jane M. Battaglia & her husband James of Blackstone, Julie A. McCormack & her husband Stephen of Quincy and Dr. Christopher J. Papile & his wife Tuana of Arlington. She was the cherished “Grannie” of Anthony Battaglia, Melissa E. Papile, Stephen J. McCormack, Jordan N. McCormack, Bryan P. McCormack and the dear sister of Judith Corcoran of Stoughton, Dianne Faubert of Quincy, Robert Perrow of Ohio, Steven Perrow of Harwich and the late Barbara Gonsales, Jeanne Hodgdon, Douglas, John & David Perrow.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street in Quincy on Saturday April 25 at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4-8pm. Interment in Pine Hill Cemetery.
