Elmerinda (Garland) Gallus,
of Norton, formerly of Mansfield, died peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, March 22. She was 92. Mrs. Gallus was the loving wife of Chester Gallus for 67 years until his death in 2010.
Born in Mansfield on March 18, 1923, Mrs. Gallus was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Mary (Santos) Garland. She was raised and educated in Mansfield and graduated from Mansfield High School in Class of 1941. Mrs. Gallus enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting and crewel work. She was especially fond of crossword puzzles and was an avid reader.
Mrs. Gallus was the mother of the late Glen C. Gallus and the sister of Mary Cinto of Mansfield, Louis Garland of Edgewater, FL, Janice Streeter of Ocala, FL and the late Fred Garland.
Her funeral will be from the Bolea-Amici Funeral Home, 115 North Main St., Mansfield on Thursday March 26 at 9am. Followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 330 Pratt St., (Rte. 106) Mansfield at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours are Wednesday 6-8pm. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Mansfield.
