Kevin A. Nordberg,
of Mansfield, died Monday, January 5th at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in North Attleboro. He was 49 years old.
Born in Norwood on August 4, 1965, he was the loving son of William A. Nordberg of Mansfield and the late Mary L. (Lynch) Nordberg.
Mr. Nordberg was a graduate of Mansfield High School and attended the University of MA where he played football for the Minutemen. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science at the University of Maryland in 1992. He worked as a Patent Agent for Rogers & Killeen Law Firm & Oblon, Spivak, McClelland, Maier & Neustadt P.C. in Arlington, VA.
He has been self-employed since 2005 as USPTO Registered Patent Agent and Co-Inventor of US Patent US6076937A. Kevin was an avid sports fan, loyal to the Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins and Celtics. He enjoyed cooking, home improvement projects and TV classics.
Mr. Nordberg was the dear brother of Karen Tolbert & her husband Jayson of Attleboro, Linda Ruff of Springfield, VA, William A. Nordberg Jr. & his wife Linda of Mansfield, John D. Nordberg & his wife Lynn of Mansfield, James G. Nordberg & his wife Lisa of Attleboro and proud uncle of 14 nieces & nephews and 1 grand-niece.
Funeral from the Bolea-Amici Funeral Home, 115 N. Main Street, Mansfield on Saturday, January 10 at 9am. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt Street (Rte.106) in Mansfield at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4-8pm. Interment will be private.
