Sheila A. Denvir,
of Mansfield, formerly of Weymouth, died Friday, December 19th at The Village at Willow Crossing in Mansfield. She was 79 years old.
Born in Boston on July 5, 1935, Ms. Denvir was the daughter of the late Robert and Julia (Hurley) Denvir. She was a graduate of Mount Saint Joseph Academy High School in Brighton and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Ms Denvir began her teaching career in Rochester, NY and returned to Boston where she taught for the majority of her career at the Wessagusset Elementary School in Weymouth.
She was resident of the Village at Willow Crossing in Mansfield for the past 6 ½ years. Ms. Denvir loved music and dance. She enjoyed participating in choruses, dances and taking piano lessons. She was an avid animal lover and supporter and also enjoyed taking long walks.
Ms. Denvir is the sister of Robert F. Denvir, Jr. and his wife Frances (Signorello) and loving aunt of Frances (Denvir) MacDonald and her husband Kenneth of Mansfield, the late Lorraine (Denvir) Hubrich and her husband Paul of Foxboro, Virginia (Denvir) DelGreco of Kingston and Carol Denvir Johnson and her husband Gerald. She is also survived by several great-nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held in the Bolea-Amici Funeral Home, 115 North Main St., Mansfield on Sunday, December 21st from 3-6pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Funeral Services and burial will be private.
