Viola E. (Marini) O'Brien,
of Quincy, died Wednesday, November 26th at the Colonial Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Weymouth. She was 90 years old and the beloved wife of the late William E. O’Brien.
Born in Quincy on January 3, 1924, she was the loving daughter of the late Cesidio & Filomena (Capone) Marini. Mrs. O’Brien was a graduate of Quincy High School Class of 1941. She worked as an Accounting Clerk for the Phone Company.
Mrs. O’Brien was the loving mother of William E. O’Brien Jr. & his wife Deborah of Wells, ME, David E. O’Brien of Quincy, the late Patricia E. O’Brien Miller and stepmother of Gerald W. O’Brien of NJ. She was the cherished grandmother of Eric O’Brien & his wife Sarah, Tim O’Brien & his wife Carrie, Patrick O’Brien & his wife Stefanie, Allen O’Brien, Shawn O’Brien, Mark O’Brien, Kimberly Stone, Gerald O’Brien Jr. & his wife Lea, Matthew O’Brien and great-grandmother of 11. She was the dear sister of Eleanor Clark and the late Fiori “Pete” Marini, Mary Marini, Daniel Marini, Joseph “Pap” Marini, Antoinette Cappabianca, Concetta Masson and Louis Marini.
Funeral from the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street, Quincy on Monday, December 1st at 9am. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Church, 95 Crescent Street, Quincy at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 2-6pm. Interment in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery.
