Alverne Russell Lowell,
of Foxboro passed away Monday July 7 at Norwood Hospital surrounded by his family after a brief illness. He was 77 years old and the beloved husband of Jane (Milne) Lowell.
Born in Boston on July 9, 1936, he was the loving son of the late Paul & Catherine-Gibson Lowell. Alverne served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, supporting our Air Force. Al worked in the Construction field for many years before working for the Foxboro Co. He loved spending time with family and going to the Raynham Dog Track with his wife where they made many friends and acquaintances. Al, with Jane enjoyed Life and their love together; Al enjoyed all life could offer, his kind soul and wisdom has helped many through the years.
Al was the loving father of Ron Lowell & his wife Terry of N. Attleboro and his daughter Catherine-Anne Lowell-White. In addition to his wife, he is survived by her children Cheryl Thomas, Elizabeth LeBlanc and James Lyford. He was the dear brother of the late Paul Lowell Jr., Jack Lowell, and Linda Lowell. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews , the sons and daughters of the families he has touched, and his dear friends Diane Casavant, (Jeff & Louanne Park), Marilyn Boris and the late Jack Boris.
Arrangements are being made by the Bolea-Amici Funeral Home, 115 N. Main Street, Mansfield. A Graveside Service will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne on Wednesday July 16 at 2pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
