Robert M. Panico,
of Quincy, formerly of Roxbury, died Saturday, July 5th at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston. He was 80 years old and the beloved husband of Marion (Simonelli) Panico.
Born in Boston on January 28, 1934, he was the loving son of the late Carmen & Carmella (Buccelli) Panico. Mr. Panico was a graduate of Roxbury Memorial High School as well as Northeastern University and worked as an Engineer at the Boston Naval Shipyard in Charlestown until his retirement after 35 years of service. He enjoyed Hunting & fishing with his son and grandson and served as past President of the Sons of Italy in Quincy.
Mr. Panico was the loving father of Robert Panico of Quincy and Michael Panico & his wife Helen of Weymouth. He was the cherished grandfather of Marc Panico of Weymouth and the dear brother of Vincent Panico of Cambridge, Louis Panico of Danvers, Agnes Merlo of Everett and the late Mary Duffy, Bernie Panico, Joseph Panico, Richard Panico and Eugene Megna. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
Funeral from the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street in Quincy on Thursday, July 10 at 9:00am. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, 95 Crescent Street, Quincy at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-8pm. Interment in Pine Hill Cemetery.
