Genevieve A. (DeRosa) White,
of Quincy, died Friday, May 9, 2014 at home. She was 77 years old and the beloved wife of the late Thomas A. White.
Born in Quincy on November 23, 1936, she was the loving daughter of the late Giovanni & Concetta (Gaudiano) DeRosa. Mrs. White was a graduate of Archbishop Williams High School and worked as an Administrative Executive Secretary at Quincy City Hospital for over 20 years. She was an avid traveler and enjoyed the opera.
Mrs. White was the dear sister of Ursula Svizzero of Quincy and Anthony DeRosa & his wife Elizabeth of North Easton. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.
Funeral from the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street, Quincy on Wednesday, May 14th at 9:00am. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, 95 Crescent Street, Quincy at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Interment in Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs. White's memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
