of Quincy, passed away Monday, April 7, 2014 at home. He was 82 years old and the beloved husband of Frances P. (Faiella) Andronico for 60 years.
Born Quincy on October 31, 1931, he was the loving son of the late Rosario & Rose (Philbrook) Andronico. Mr. Andronico was a graduate of Quincy High School Class of 1949 and served in the United States Navy during the Korean War on the USS Pocono & the USS Fulton. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University and worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts DPW, the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Quality Engineering Vollmer Associates and Weston & Sampson, and for many years worked as a Tax Preparer for Home Run Tax Services.
Mr. Andronico was President of the Cribbage Club at 1000 Southern Artery and the Fore River Club House, a member of the Morrisette Post, St. John's Parish Council, Neighborhood Housing of the South Shore, various Community Theater Groups on the South Shore and belonged to the Belles and Beaus singing group.
Mr. Andronico was the loving father of David J. Andronico & his wife MaryAnn, Maria M. (Andronico) Klisiaris & her husband Zissis, Dawna L. (Andronico) Donaghey & her husband Peter, Anthony F. Andronico, all of Quincy and Melissa (Andronico) Sepulveda & her husband Jose of Marion, MA. He was the cherished grandfather of 10 and great-grandfather of 1.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. John’s Church, 44 School Street, Quincy on Saturday April 12 at 11am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street, Quincy on Friday from 4-8pm. Interment in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Andronico's memory to the Visiting Nurses Association Hospice Care, 100 Trade Center, G-500, Woburn, MA 01801.
