Nicholas "Nick the Shoe Repairman" Panarelli,
a lifelong resident of Quincy, died Friday, February 28, 2014 at Milton Hospital. He was 86 years old and the beloved husband of the late Marie (St. Angelo) Panarelli.
Born in Quincy on September 27, 1927, he was the loving son of the late Antonio and Frances (Gatta) Panarelli.
Mr. Panarelli attended Quincy Schools and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked as a Cobbler and Owner of Nick's Shoe Repair, formerly of Quincy, for 49 years and was a volunteer for the Quincy Council on Aging.
Mr. Panarelli was the loving father of John Panarelli of Dallas, TX, Teresa Brooks of Lawrenceville, GA and Richard Panarelli of Quincy. He was the cherished grandfather of 7, great-grandfather of 11 and dear brother of Josephine Tutela of Quincy, Matteo Panarelli of Quincy and Jerry Panarelli of Braintree.
Funeral From the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street, Quincy on Tuesday March 4 at 9am. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. John's Church, 44 School Street, Quincy at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4-8pm. Interment will be private.
