Joseph N. DiSerio,
of Braintree, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2014 at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. He was 82 years old and the beloved husband of Jeanette E. (Angelini) DiSerio.
Born in Malden on September 27, 1931, he was the loving son of the late Guiseppe & Julia (DiCesare) DiSerio.
Mr. DiSerio was raised and educated in Malden and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked as a Machinist for Pneumatic Scale, formerly of Quincy, and was a former member of the Torre Dei Passeri Club in Quincy.
Mr. DiSerio was the loving father of Monique Ann Mazza & her husband Frank, Michele Lee Vena and Mark Joseph DiSerio. He was the cherished grandfather of Nicolas A. Mazza, Sophia M. Mazza, Andreanna L. Vena and Nicole M. Vena. He was the dear brother of Domen Drexler-DiSerio and the late Yola Forster, Dante DiSerio, Anthony DiSerio, Maria G. Dowling, Theresa DiSerio and brother-in-law of Phyllis A. Drexler and Carmelina DiSerio.
Funeral from the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street in Quincy on Friday, January 24th at 10:30am. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. John's Church, 44 School Street, Quincy at 11:30am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4-8pm. Interment in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery.
