Anne M. (D'Andrea) Duff

Anne M. (D'Andrea) Duff, a lifelong resident of Quincy, passed away peacefully Monday, December 30, 2013. The only daughter of the late Vincent and Julia D'Andrea, she was born July 24, 1917.

After graduating from business school, Anne enjoyed a lengthy career as a bookkeeper until her retirement from the Claus Gellotte Camera Company in Quincy. Once retired she became an active member of the St. John's Seniors club and served for many years as the club social secretary. She was a talented seamstress who excelled at knitting, crocheting, and needlepoint and was known for her beautiful hand-knitted garments and blankets.

Anne was the cherished wife of the late John Duff and leaves behind her beloved brother and best friend Americo (Rico) D'Andrea and his wife Marie of Quincy. She was the loving stepmother to Elaine (Duff) Allegrini and her husband Michael "Terry" of Plymouth, Gary Duff and his wife Susan of Santa Maria, California, Jon Duff and his wife Valentine of Benicia, California, and Paul Duff and his wife Elizabeth of Carver. She was also dear grandmother of 10 grandchildren including the late Mark Allegrini, 9 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Predeceased by her brothers Louis D'Andrea and his wife Barbara of Wareham, Orlando (John) D'Andrea and his wife Mary of Weymouth, and Nichola D'Andrea and his wife Bernadine of Georgia, Anne is survived by her many loving nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Funeral from the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street in Quincy on Saturday, January 4th at 9am. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. John's Church, 44 School Street, Quincy at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 3-7pm. Interment in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery.
