Michael J. Banchi, Sr.,
of Mansfield, formerly of Camden, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, December 18th at the Southeast Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Easton. He was 87 years old.
Born in Camden, NJ on October 13, 1926, he was the loving son of the late Giovanni & Conchetta (Occuto) Banchi. Mr. Banchi served in the United States Army during WWII. He loved spending time with his family and was present for the births of each of his grandchildren. He enjoyed reading, bowling, pool, cards and bingo.
Mr. Banchi was the loving father of Michael J. Banchi Jr. & his wife Joan Curley-Banchi and Stephen A. Banchi & his wife Jacqueline. He was the cherished grandfather of Michael J. Banchi III & his wife Heather, Jason M. Banchi, Michelle J. Banchi, Stephen A. Banchi, Scott Heebner and great-grandfather of Isabella, Andrew and Christian Banchi. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements being made by the Bolea-Amici Funeral Home, 115 N. Main Street in Mansfield. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt Street (Rte. 106) in Mansfield on Friday, December 27 at 9am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours are being omitted. Interment in Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
