Emilie (Nowikow) Swafford,
of Mansfield, passed away suddenly Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was 63 years old and the beloved wife of the late John Swafford.
Born in Germany on April 17, 1950, she was the loving daughter of the late George and Ottilie (Fleischman) Nowikow. Mrs. Swafford worked as an Electrical Technician at Raytheon for 17 years and then as a Care Giver at Madonna Manor in North Attleboro and Lifeworks, Inc. in Norwood for several years before retiring and enjoying time with her family and friends.
Mrs. Swafford was the loving mother of Crystal Perkins of Attleboro, cherished grandmother of Julia Rose Perkins, dear sister of Elizabeth Keller and Ed Gebele and aunt of Christine, Bryanna & Billy Longley, Karlie DeCarlo and Jessica & Marissa Perkins. She is also survived by her companion James Luther and dear friend of 41 years Ann Walker.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church, 330 Pratt Street (Rte. 106) Mansfield on Tuesday, August 20 at 9am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Memorial Visitation will be held at the Bolea-Amici Funeral Home, 115 North Main Street in Mansfield on Monday from 5-8pm. Interment will be private.
