John E. Scialoia,
of Foxboro died Friday July 12 at home. He was 62 years old and devoted companion of Valerie Johnson of Foxboro.
Born in Mansfield on July 14, 1950, he was the loving son of the late John E. and Adeline A. (Mucciarone) Scialoia. Mr. Scialoia was a graduate of Mansfield High School Class of 1968 and Northeastern University. He worked as a Property Insurance Consultant for Factory Mutual, Kemper Insurance Co. and Global Risks. He had a passion for the ocean and enjoyed fishing and shell fishing,
Mr. Scialoia was the loving father of John Scialoia of Foxboro. He was the dear brother of Mary Ray of Mansfield, Joan Ronhock and her husband Marc of Clermont, FL., Ellen Houle and her husband Robert of Bellingham, Anita LoDico and her husband John of Mansfield and Rosemarie Maddock and her husband Paul of S. Attleboro. He was the husband of Nancy L. (Anderson) Scialoia of Norton and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday July 16 at 10:30am. at St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt Street (Rte. 106) in Mansfield. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the Bolea-Amici Funeral Home, 115 N. Main Street in Mansfield on Monday from 4-8pm. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Scialoia’s memory to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Ave., Boston, MA 02215.
