Clara J. (Marchant) King,
of Marshfield, formerly of Mansfield died peacefully on Sunday, April 28th at the Bay Path Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Duxbury. She was 91 years old and beloved wife of the late John A. King. Born in Boston on November 10, 1921, she was the loving daughter of the late Albert G. and Annie (Patterson) Marchant.
Mrs. King was a graduate of Hyde Park High School and the Fisher School of Boston. She worked as a Secretary for the Erie Lakawana Railroad.
Mrs. King was the dear sister of the late George Marchant, Dorothy (Marchant) Connors and Florence (Marchant) Dorn. She was the cherished aunt of Robert F. Connors and his close friend Lynn Harrison of Clifton Park, NY (formerly of N. Easton), Natalie M. (Dorn) Johnson and her husband Leroy of S. Easton, Donna L. (Dorn) Kelly and her husband Peter of Chagrin Falls, OH, Dorothy A. (Dorn) O’Donnell and her husband James of Taunton, Sheila (Geldart) Martin and her husband Douglas of N. Easton and Frank Place and his wife Karen of Wareham. She was the loving great-aunt of her beloved goddaughter Jacklyn (Johnson) Robinson of Pembroke and 13 other great nieces and nephews as well as the great grand-aunt of 43.
She was a special friend of the Towle Family of Norton with whom she lived for many years.
Arrangements being made by the Bolea-Amici Funeral Home, 115 North Main Street in Mansfield. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church, 330 Pratt Street (Rte. 106) in Mansfield on Tuesday, April 30th at 10:30am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Vesting hours are being omitted.
