Ersilia "Celia" (Paoletti) Peduzzi ,
of Quincy, passed away Sunday, April 7th at home surrounded by her loving family and close family friend. She was 85 years old and the beloved wife of Armando Peduzzi for 60 years. Born in Ascoli Piceno, Italy on December 12, 1927, she was the loving daughter of the late Enrico and Caudida (Curzi) Paoletti.
Celia was raised and educated in Italy before moving to Quincy in 1948. She was an accomplished Seamstress in the Quincy area for many years and also worked as a caring Home Health Aide. She was a gifted cook who loved spending time in the kitchen cooking for her family and friends, a gardener, and was known as a giver and loved to travel.
Her caring and compassionate ways touched everyone she knew.
Celia was the loving mother of Mary Marini & her husband Joseph Jr. of Bridgewater, Nancy McNulty & her husband Paul of Quincy, Giselle Peduzzi of Quincy, Amanda Nolan & her husband Kevin of Quincy and the late Anita Leitao and her husband Carl of North Attleboro. She was the cherished grandmother of Charles, Joseph, Ann Marie, Nicholas, James, Brian & Christopher. She is also the proud aunt of many nieces and nephews in Italy.
Funeral from the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street, Quincy on Friday, April 12 at 9am. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Ann's Church, 757 Hancock Street, Quincy at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4-8pm. Interment in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Celia's memory to the Italian Home for Children, 1125 Centre Street, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.
