Aniello Andonio (Tony) Polese,
of Quincy died Saturday, March 23rd at home after a long illness, surrounded by his loving family. He was 65 years old. Born in Quincy on June 3, 1947, he was the loving son of the late Lorenzo and Maria Francesca (Esposito) Polese.
Mr. Polese was a graduate of Quincy High School Class of 1965. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He also graduated from Boston State College and Northeastern University. He was an avid reader with a great knowledge and respect for history, a sports enthusiast especially for college and professional basketball and a longtime admirer of the Fightin' Texas Aggie Band.
Mr. Polese was the dear brother of Ursolla Stevens and her husband Tim of Quincy, Matilda "Tillie" Polese of Quincy and Francesco "Frank" Polese and his wife Barbara of Pembroke. He was the cherished uncle of Matthew and Andrew Polese of Pembroke.
Funeral from the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street, Quincy on Wednesday, March 27 at 9am. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. John's Church, 44 School Street, Quincy at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-8pm. Interment in Pine Hill Cemetery.
