Rudolph G. Lombardi,
of Mansfield died Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the Golden Living Center in Middleboro. He was 93 years old and the beloved husband of the late Eleanor L. (Palladino) Lombardi for 60 years.
Born in Mansfield on April 15, 1919, he was the loving son of the late Pelligrino and Angelina (Meoli) Lombardi. Mr. Lombardi was a graduate of the Boston Trade School Class of 1936 and served in the United States Navy during WWII.
Mr. Lombardi owned the Bonnie Brook Restaurant, formerly of Mansfield. He worked as a Tool Maker in the Model Shop at Texas Instruments in Attleboro from which he retired after 35 years of service.
He loved the beach, his cottage in Dennisport, playing softball, gardening and had a passion for talking with people.
Mr. Lombardi was the loving father of William Lombardi & his wife Holly of Assonet, David Lombardi of Mansfield and Peter Lombardi of Florida. He was the cherished grandfather of Sarah, Rebecca, Matthew Mark, Taylor & Brett and great-grandfather of Joshua. He was the dear brother of the late Antonio, John, Mamie Wiese, Lilly Bellucci and Velma Bolen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Bolea-Amici Funeral Home, 115 North Main Street, Mansfield on Friday, February 1st at 8am. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, 330 Pratt Street (Rte. 106) Mansfield at 9am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 5-8pm. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery.
