Lucille G. (Moses) George,
of Quincy, entered Eternal Peace on Sunday, November 11 after a lengthy illness at Quincy Medical Center. She was 80 years old. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur K. George.
Born in Boston's South End on February 22, 1932, she was the loving daughter of the late George and Clara (Farah) Moses. She was a graduate of Girls High School of Boston and worked as a Bank Teller in Boston's South End for over 13 years.
Residing in Quincy after her marriage, Mrs. George worked in Food Service for the City of Quincy for 32 years, with the last ten of those years as Cafeteria Manager at North Quincy High School being revered by the faculty, students and many employees.
She was the loving mother of Yvonne George of Quincy and Diane Sitkowski and her husband Dennis of Quincy. She was the dear sister of Effie Michael of Duxbury and the late Dorothy Joseph, Lily Mazares, George Moses, John Moses and Nicholas Moses. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great, great-nieces and great, great-nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 55 Emmonsdale Road, West Roxbury on Thursday, November 15 at 11am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held at the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street in Quincy prior to the Service from 8am-10am. Interment in Pine Hill Cemetery.
