Robin G. (Transue) DuBois,
of Quincy, passed away on Friday, October 5th at Tufts Medical Center surrounded by her loving family after a very long & courageous battle with Leukemia. She was 60 years old. She was the beloved wife of Roland A. DuBois for 39 years.
Born in Medford on April 21, 1952, she was the loving daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (Snyder) Transue.
She was a graduate of Chelmsford High School Class of 1970 and received her Associate's Degree in Social Work from Quincy College. Robin was a dedicated employee of Jordan Marsh Co. for over 22 years and later worked at Staples in Weymouth until her illness was diagnosed in 2007.
Her Strong Faith and her passion for youth led her to become very active in the Church both at St. John's and St. Joseph's Parishes. She became a Certified Youth Minister, a Girl Scout Leader, Altar Server, Eucharistic Minister, CCD Teacher and treasured coach of both basketball and softball.
Mrs. DuBois was the devoted & loving mother of Jaclyn M. DuBois and Aimee E. DuBois both of Quincy. She was the Cherished "Grammy" of Elijah James DuBois, dear sister of Roberta Highstone & her husband John of Alaska, Stephen Transue and his wife Penny of Arizona & Mark Transue of Las Vegas, NV. Sister in law of Janet DuBois of Brockton, Alfred DuBois Jr. and his wife Michelle of Weymouth, Dana DuBois and his wife Suzanne of Hyde Park and the late Linda Rogers. She is also survived by her Father-in-law Alfred DuBois of Quincy, several nieces and nephews and many loving dear friends.
Funeral from the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street, Quincy on Wednesday October 10 at 9am. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church, 550 Washington Street, Quincy at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-8pm. Interment in Blue Hill Cemetery.
