Ugo P. Conti,
died Wednesday, October 3rd at Signature Health Care Brockton Hospital. He was 90 years old. Mr. Conti was the husband of the late Anna (Ronan) Conti.
Born in Quincy on April 8, 1922, he was the son of the late Ernesto and Maria Conti. He was a lifelong resident of Quincy and worked for the Quincy Highway Department for 35 years, before retiring in 1984. He was a long time communicant of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church and a VFW member.
He served in the US Army WWII and was a recipient of a Purple Heart and Bronze Star for his bravery in the battle of Monte Cassino.
Mr. Conti is survived by his children, Ernest and Michael of Mansfield, Paul and Robert of Bridgewater and Richard and Mary Conti of Tampa, Florida. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and his companion and close friend Louis Fiore. Mr. Conti was the brother of the late Bruno Conti and Ida DiSalvo.
A Funeral Mass will be held in Holy Trinity Parish, 227 Sea Street, Quincy, on Saturday October 6th at 9:00am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 5:00-8:00pm in the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin St., Quincy. Interment in Mount Wollaston Cemetery.
