Ezio John Benigni,
of Kennebunk, Maine passed away on Friday, July 13 at the Huntington Common Assisted Living in Kennebunk, ME. He was 92 years old. He was the beloved husband of Louise (Morini) Benigni for 71 years.
Born in Mansfield, he was the loving son of the late Ernesto and Elmira (Alessandri) Benigni. He was a graduate of Mansfield High School Class of 1938.
Mr. Benigni served in the United States Army during WWII. He owned and operated Ezio's Beauty Salon in Sharon for 13 years and then became a Stockbroker at Burbank & Company in Boston and later at AG Edwards in Wellesley. He enjoyed summers on Cape Cod, winters in Florida, reading, travel and was most passionate about spending time with his family.
Mr. Benigni was the loving father of Kathy Sturman and her husband Mark of Kennebunk, ME, his daughter-in-law Mary Benigni Mamos of Lancaster and the late Paul Benigni. He was the dear brother of Louise Motyka and Lucrezia Benigni of Mansfield and cherished grandfather of Adam Benigni and his wife Lorrie of Amherst, NY, Greg Sturman and his wife Natalie of Huntersville, NC, Major Matt Benigni and his wife Tammy of Apollo Beach, FL, Todd Sturman and his wife Suzanne of Keswick, VA and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral from the Bolea-Amici Funeral Home, 115 No. Main Street in Mansfield on Tuesday, July 17 at 8 am. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, 330 Pratt Street (Route 106) Mansfield at 9am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4-8pm. Interment in Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
