Geraldine "Gerry" (Bruno) Storella,
a lifelong resident of Quincy, passed away Sunday, June 3rd at home. She was the beloved wife of Richard A. Storella for 53 years. Born in Quincy, she was the loving daughter of the late Joseph A. and Lillian (Appoloni) Bruno.
She was a graduate of Quincy High School Class of 1955 and of the Boston University College of Business Administration. She Worked as an Executive Assistant in the Financial Industry since 1978 and since 2004 for Citizens Financial Group, Inc. in Boston.
Mrs. Storella served as VP and Board Member of the Friends of Thomas Crane Library, former President of the St. John's Junior League, Eucharistic Minister for 20 years, Coordinator of the First Grade CCD Program at St. John's Church, Former Secretary to the Board of Quincy Youth Hockey Association and member of the Quincy Historical Society, Marshfield Country Club and Granite Links Golf Club.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Storella is survived by her grandson John Storella-Mullin. She was the dear sister of Adrienne Brady and her husband James and the late Joseph and Alfred Bruno and loving cousin of Marcello Paolti of Carrara Italy.
Funeral from the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street, Quincy on Thursday June7 at 9am. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. John's Church, 44 School Street, Quincy at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-8pm. Interment in Pine Hill Cemetery.
