Beverly L. (Richards) Garland,
of Mansfield passed away Tuesday, May 15 at home. She was 82 years old. She was the recently widowed and beloved wife of the late James A. Garland for over 60 years.
Born in Brockton on August 1, 1929, she was the loving daughter of the late Arthur F. and Mildred (Anderson) Richards. She was raised and educated in Foxboro and at an early age began a Modeling Career and became involved in the Beauty Pageant industry where she held the title of "Cranberry Queen."
Mrs. Garland was the loving mother of James A. Garland Jr. and his wife Susan of Foster, RI, Daniel C. Garland and his wife Paula of North Attleboro, Sarah E. Garland of Manchester, VT and David A. Garland of Mansfield. She was the cherished grandmother of 6 and great-grandmother of 1. She was the dear sister of Virginia Zelman of Rye, NY, Barbara Jones of CA and the late Phyllis Silvernail, Dorothy Copparini, and Jack Richards.
Memorial Visitation will be held at the Bolea-Amici Funeral Home, 115 North Main Street in Mansfield on Friday May 18 from 5-7pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. A Memorial Service will be held at 7pm following visitation. Interment will be private.
