James P. Devine,
of Mansfield, died Sunday, April 29 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI. He was 81 years old. He was the beloved husband of Beverley A. (Lane) Devine for 60 years.
Born on May 6, 1931, he was the loving son of the late Patrick and Alice Devine.
Mr. Devine served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He worked as a truck driver for Draper Brothers in Canton and then for Continental Bakery in Natick for over 20 years.
Mr. Devine was the loving father of Peter W. Devine of CT, Michael J. Devine of Attleboro, John F. Devine and Debra A. Devine, both of Mansfield and the late Paul D. Devine. He was the cherished grandfather of James P. Devine, Chris L. Devine and Michaela D. Devine and great-grandfather of Julianna N. Devine.
Funeral from the Bolea-Amici Funeral Home, 115 N. Main Street, Mansfield on Friday May 4 at 8:00am. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, 330 Pratt Street (Rte. 106) in Mansfield at 9:00am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4-7pm. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery.
