Irene J. (Piccolomini) Gaboury,
of Harwich, formerly of Mansfield, died on Saturday, March 3rd, 2012 at the Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis after suffering a stroke.
Born in Boston on May 7th, 1932, she was the daughter of Michele and Palma Piccolomini. She graduated from Mansfield High School in 1949. She worked as a pharmacist technician most of her adult life. She worked for the Pinellas County School Board food service department at Tyrone Elementary School in St. Petersburg, Florida until she retired.
Irene was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Leonard C. Gaboury, her older brother Matthew Piccolomini of Mansfield, and her grandson Michael James Kochanik of St. Petersburg, Florida. She leaves behind her brother David Piccolomini of Mansfield; her children; Michele Juaire Kochanik and husband James of St. Petersburg, FL, Alexis Gaboury Hewes and husband Fred of St. Petersburg, FL, William Gaboury and wife Beverly, of Attleboro, G. Richard Juaire and wife Dona, of Attleboro; 6 grandchildren, Kristen Kochanik Garza, Alicia Juaire Cabral, Lindsey Juaire Vero, Brittany Juaire, Danielle Gaboury, and Sherri Gaboury Salvas; 4 great-grandchildren, Jayden and Jocelyn Cabral, and Nicholas and Nathan Vero from Attleboro and her 6 nieces and nephews, Maureen Piccolomini McLaughlin, Ann Christen, Michael Piccolomini, Shawn Piccolomini O'Sullivan, Patrick Piccolomini, and Erin Piccolomini Fiorillo.
Funeral from the Bolea-Amici Funeral Home, 115 North Main Street, Mansfield on Saturday March 10 at 8am. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, 330 Pratt Street (Rte.106) Mansfield at 9am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Friday March 9 from 4-8 PM. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery.
