Margaret "Peggy" (Curran) Moran ,
of Mansfield, formerly of South Boston, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 19 at High Gate Manor in Dedham. She was 67 years old. She was the former wife of Michael Moran of Sebastian, Florida.
Born in Boston on June 28, 1944, she was the loving daughter of the late Patrick and Bridget (Casserly) Curran.
She was a graduate of the Gate of Heaven High School in South Boston and Aquinas College. She retired from the State Social Services Department where she helped many families throughout her career. She was very proud of her Irish heritage and enjoyed her many trips to Ireland.
Ms. Moran was the loving mother of Michael Moran and his wife Carolyn of Mansfield, their children Andrew and Allyson and Marc Moran and his wife Lena of Mansfield. She was the dear sister of Mary Gunning of Norwood and the late Patrick Curran. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated at St. Mary's Church, 330 Pratt Street (Rte. 106) in Mansfield on Saturday, February 25 at 10:30am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Memorial Visitation will be held at the Bolea-Amici Funeral Home, 115 North Main Street in Mansfield on Friday from 5-8pm. Interment will be private.
In lieu of Flowers, donations may be made in Ms. Moran's memory to the American Lung Association, 1301 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Suite 800, Washington, DC, 20004.
