William Philip Romanko,
of Norton, formerly of Boston, died Sunday, February 5 at Epoch of Norton. He was 89 years old. He was the beloved husband of the late Hilda (Siraco) Romanko.
Born in Boston on October 28, 1922, he was the loving son of the late Peter and Tanka Romanko.
He was a graduate of the former Mechanic Arts High School in Roxbury and attended Wentworth Institute. Mr. Romanko served as a Sargent in the United States Army during WWII. He retired as a Maintenance Mechanic after serving many years in the Baking Industry.
Mr. Romanko was the loving father of William Peter Romanko and his wife Sheila of Mansfield, Karen Romanko and her husband Dr. Robert Desharnais of California and Jayne Miller of Wrentham. He was the cherished grandfather of Kristen, Daniel and Gregory of Mansfield, Michelle, Corey and great-granddaughter Ariana, all of Ohio. He was the dear brother of Anne White of Duxbury and the late Catherine Ciunyk, Marion Millman and Terry Grimshaw
Funeral from the Bolea-Amici Funeral Home, 115 North Main Street, Mansfield on Thursday February 9 at 9:30am. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, 330 Pratt Street (Rte. 106) Mansfield at 10:30am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-8pm. Interment in St. Michael's Cemetery in Roslindale.
