of Braintree, died Saturday, January 14 at home after a long illness. He was 75 years old. He was the beloved husband of Anna (Ventresca) DiPlacido.
Born in Sulmona, Italy on October 20, 1936, he was the loving son of the late Olimpio and Rosina (Battaglini) DiPlacido.
He was a member of the South Boston Laborers Union Local 223 and a Labor Foreman at Solimando Construction Co. in Milton for 30 years.
For those who knew Nino, they knew he was a very devoted father and grandfather. They will remember his productive garden and sweet homemade wine. They are thankful for all his hard work and help he given over the years. He was truly one of a kind and could put a smile on anybody's face with one of his original jokes. Nino will truly be missed by all and will remain in his loved ones hearts forever.
Mr. DiPlacido was the loving father of Rose Gratta and her husband Joseph of Scituate, Maria Fulciniti and her husband Pasquale of Burlington and Michelle Bertoldi and her husband Daniel of Quincy. He was the cherished grandfather of Julianna and Joseph Gratta, Paul and Anthony Fulciniti and Felicia, Gabriella and Daniel Bertoldi Jr. He was the dear brother of Bruno DiPlacido and his wife Rosetta of Dedham and the late Angelo DiPlacido and Brother-in-law of Rose DiPlacido of Quincy.
Funeral from the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street, Quincy on Wednesday January 18 at 8am. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Thomas More Church, 8 Hawthorne Road, Braintree at 9am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Tuesday from 3-8pm. Interment in St. Michael's Cemetery in Roslindale.
