J. Theodore Di Masi,
age 90, died Dec. 8, 2011, and is survived by his beloved wife, Mary, his brother, Frank, his stepchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Born and raised in the North End of Boston, he graduated from Boston University with a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology, following which he had a long career as a Psychologist for the Veterans Administration. He retired to Florida where he spent a number of years working with troubled adolescents and abused teens. He brought joy to his work and his presence was always impressive.
He was a man of humble, Italian immigrant beginnings. He was a true renaissance man; he was a friend, a counselor, a confidant, a teacher, an educator, a sympathizer, an empathizer, a role model and a loved one to share moments with. He lived a great life, a life of love and happiness. His life was special because he touched people's lives through the strength of his personality and his presence. He brought joy, smiles and a feeling of happiness to so many. Thank you for being our friend!
