William Titus Jacobs,
a lifelong resident of Quincy, died Thursday, December 1 at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth after a long illness. He was 71. Mr. Jacobs was the loving husband of the late Rose (Gaziano) Jacobs.
Born in Hull on June 29, 1940, Mr. Jacobs was the son of the late Titus Jacobs, who passed away when William was young and was raised by his mother, the late Ann (Norris) and her husband, the late Joseph Hannon. He graduated from Hull High School and worked in construction, holding many job titles. Later in life, Mr. Jacobs trained many young Golden Gloves Boxers and he enjoyed spending time with his family and many trips to Mohegan Sun.
Mr. Jacobs is survived by his two daughters, Elizabeth Schuboth of Weymouth and Rosemarie Donahue of Quincy. He was the loving grandfather of Shylo and Jason Schuboth, Heather McGuire, Bryon and Taylor Donohue. Mr. Jacobs was the great-grandfather of Alexander, Violet, Braden, Grady, Kaylee and Harley. He was the brother of Alice Huggertt of Texas and the late Elizabeth and Anne Vaffides. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 10am in St. John's Church, 44 School Street, Quincy. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Visiting hours are Monday 4-8pm in the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street, Quincy.
