Adelina "Lee" Chella,
of Quincy, died Wednesday, November 16 at Quincy Medical Center. She was 85 years old. Born in Quincy on July 17, 1926, she was the loving daughter of the late Luciano and Anna (DeMarco) Chella.
She was a graduate of Quincy High School Class of 1944 and received her Associate Degree in Business Administration from Burdette College, formerly of Boston.
Ms. Chella worked as an Office Manager for Cosgrove Brothers Manufacturing Corporation for 17 years and then as Treasurer and V.P. of Finance for the Massachusetts Higher Education Assistance Corporation where she retired after 22 years of service. She enjoyed traveling and cooking and was a member of the National Council of Higher Education, the Torre Dei Passeri Society of Quincy and a 40-year member of St. John's Choir.
Ms. Chella was the dear Aunt of Peter Chella and his wife Sheila, Robert Chella and his wife Kathleen and Anne Chella Galan and her husband Robert. Great-Aunt of Anthony and Mark Chella and Great Great-Aunt of Jack Chella.
Funeral from the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street, Quincy on Monday November 21 at 9am. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. John's Church, 44 School Street, Quincy at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 2-6pm. Interment will be private.
