Shirley F. (Middendorf) D'Andrea,
a lifelong resident of Quincy, died on Sunday September 4 at home. She was 75 years old. She was the beloved wife of Michael E. D'Andrea for 55 years.
Born in Quincy on January 10, 1936, she was the loving daughter of the late Charles and Nellie (D'Amico) Middendorf. She was a graduate of Quincy High School. She was a former employee of N.E. Bell Co. of Braintree for 25 years.
Mrs. D'Andrea was the loving mother of Michael D'Andrea and his wife Joanne of Quincy, John D'Andrea of Quincy, Laura Conway and her husband Norman of Haverhill and Cynthia Sandonato and her husband Stephen of Holbrook. She was the cherished grandmother of Rachel, Lauren, Kelsey, Michael, Daniel and Nathan. She was one of six children and is survived by her dear sister Joan Hurd of Florida.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church, 95 Crescent Street, Quincy on Friday September 9 at 9am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street in Quincy on Thursday from 4-8pm. Interment in Pine Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs. D'Andrea's memory to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 1500 Rosecrans Ave., Suite 2000, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.
