Philippe Corai Schroth,
of Mansfield, passed away Saturday September 3 at home. He was 62 years old. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen Finnerty-Schroth for 35 years.
Born in Weymouth on April 29, 1949, he was the loving son of Ginette (Corai) Schroth of North Carolina and the late Robert Schroth.
Mr. Schroth was a Graduate of Archbishop Williams High School in Braintree, Class of 1967. He received his BS from Boston State College, his MS from Anna Maria College and his JD from Southern New England School of Law. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Mr. Schroth served as a Metropolitan Police Officer in Boston and retired from the Massachusetts State Police. After retirement, he continued to work in the Private Investigation Field.
Mr. Schroth was the loving Father of Matthew F. Schroth and his Fiance Kate Bickford of Chelsea and Danielle Schroth of Boston's North End. He was the dear brother of Robert Schroth of Florida and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church, 330 Pratt Street (Rte. 106) in Mansfield on Wednesday September 7 at 9am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the Bolea-Amici Funeral Home, 115 North Main Street in Mansfield on Tuesday from 4-8pm. Interment in Bourne National Cemetery.
